INTERN

jaw — new play festival

In high school I learned how to wield a word sword and slayed three plays. One was preformed for my school (Lincoln High), and the two others landed me a 2018 showcase spot and subsequent internship at Portland’s largest theater company: Portland Center Stage at The Armory.

internship

For two weeks I wrote and rewrote and rewrote plays with other JAW interns and international writers for screen and stage. We crafted a showcase of pieces performed alongside other touring plays and promoted the festival itself across social media and live radio.

kit-kat

An absurd play about the death penalty and a Kit-Kat bar. Performed live in Portland for the New Works Festival at Lincoln High.

figure

A surreal play set inside an airy loft. Performed live in Portland for the Visions & Voices showcase at The Armory.

froyo

An absurd play about gender, love and sex from a sensationalized perspective. Performed live in Portland for the JAW New Play Festival at The Armory.
